One of the great things about having a boyfriend who has an art school is I get to teach the kids sometimes and pretend I’m back inside a preschool classroom.
A few weeks ago, I met AC, who’s this really charming and funny 8-year old boy. He and his brother had been making a ton of masks that time, and when I asked his brother to make me a rabbit one, I was told to make my own.
“But I don’t know how.”
“How can you be an art teacher if you don’t know how?”
Oh kids these days are so smart. You can’t get anything past their keen sense against adult BS.
I pretended to pout at the younger sibling but didn’t push since I just met them that day. I was also looking at AC color his project at that moment and noticed that he wasn’t using his Global Art techniques so I encouraged him to blend the colors some more and did samples to remind him. He applied those quickly, wanting his work to be the best that it can be.
The next day, the brothers were back and AC gave me this. Isn’t it great? He’s such a sweet boy and he even remembered to blend his colors well, using the tap tap technique. I was and will always be happy to have gotten this.
